Caesar's Funeral and tomorrow's Senatorial meeting

Patres conscripti (and Cleopatra),

Caesar's funeral took place yesterday. In accordance to the decree of the Senate, the funeral was conducted as a private event. However, a large crowd gathered at dawn outside Caesar's house and stayed there all day singing dirges and shouting curses against the assassins of the deceased. The crowd then followed the funerary procession and attended the cremation of the body along with Caesar's family and friends. One of the most memorable moments of the whole funeral was undoubtedly Mark Antony's eulogy for Caesar.

Mark Antony, the surviving consul, wishes to convene the senate tomorrow. The issue at hand is the fate of Caesar's assassins.
